About Sinclair Lewis Interpretive Center

The Sinclair Lewis Interpretive Center was opened June 17, 1975. Hubert H. Humphrey was the honored guest. The foundation, the City of Sauk Centre, the Chamber of Commerce and the Minnesota Highway Commission all cooperated on this project. The center at I-94 and Highway 71 houses a complete collection of Sinclair Lewis novels, his writing desk and a view of his front porch.  A must see while you are in Sauk Centre. The Little Red Schoolhouse near the Sinclair Lewis Interpretive Center is enjoyed by all.  The center has much information about the author, Sinclair Lewis, our own native son.
