About Lake George

The Lake George area is one of many different types of attractions and activities for visitors of all ages. From rentals to events, the park area is a great place to play, relax, and enjoy!

The Lake

Yes, St. Cloud has its own lake! This urban lake is an oasis, just steps from the hustle and bustle of downtown St. Cloud. Surrounded by gorgeous walking paths, water features, bench and picnic areas, and even a beach, this is the ideal location in St. Cloud for a morning stroll, a bag lunch to go, or some scenic relaxation.

The Boathouse

Situated on the Southeast shore of Lake George is the sprawling Boathouse. St. Cloud Park & Recreation and the St. Cloud Rotary Club partner with Outdoor Endeavors to offer rental of paddle boats, canoes, paddle boards and fishing equipment. Additionally, Outdoor Endeavors brings canoeing and kayaking programs to the Lake as part of the SCSU Center for Paddle Sports Instruction, Education and Safety. Summertime by George

Every Wednesday all summer long (starting June 12th), Summertime by George takes stage on the shores of Lake George. This outdoor concert features an opening and main act, a vendor area with food and shopping, games for kids, and even a tavern for grown ups. The Lake George Boathouse and Splash Pad are also open during concert time. It’s a huge community get together, and always a great time! Check out more about the event here.
