If you’ve met Nikki Fisher before, the answer to this (her favorite cheesy joke) is absolutely yes. Nikki is a bubbly ray of sunshine in the CVB office, and in her role as the Convention and Meetings Sales Manager, she leaves a positive impression on every client she talks to. Nikki has been a part of the St. Cloud CVB for over 12 years now, and has been in nearly every role at some point. Her extensive knowledge of meeting and convention planning makes her a sought-after contact for meeting planners in the SMERF (social, military, education, religion, fraternal, government, agriculture and corporate) market. Nikki prospects convention business with area hotels and facilities, coordinates facility and information and bid packets, host site visits, and more. She wants to provide clients and attendees with the greatest service and experience she can.
Nikki was born in Minneapolis and raised in Hutchinson, graduating from Hutchinson High School in 2000. She graduated from SCSU with a bachelors degree in public relations and tourism while working at Target and Starbucks Coffee. Nikki’s experience with the CVB started young, as an intern at the St. Cloud Travel Information Center. She has been in her current role since 2013.
When she’s not spreading her infectious laugh at the office, Nikki loves spending time with her family, playing board games, indulging in anything that has bread or cheese, and watching movies. In fact, it’s been said that Nikki could rent out her DVD collection! Maybe that’s because her first job was at Mr. Movies, watching all the new releases as they came out. Nikki stays busy with her husband Brian, daughters Halle and Shayla, and two kitty-fur-babies, Tilly and Theo (even though Nikki is a dog person!). One day, Nikki would love to visit New Zealand and Hawaii with her family, and she dreams of taking Hallie to Disney World! No matter where they go, it’s all about spending time together.
Nikki loves working at the CVB because it’s allowed her to form relationships with many different people, from clients to coworkers and everyone in between. She also really enjoys working with others who are passionate about the industry, like her.
