2020 has arrived, and with it brings all kinds of new and exciting things happening in Greater St. Cloud. This year, we welcome the addition of several new and renovated venues to 5th Avenue in Downtown St. Cloud, including the craft eatery Brick & Bourbon, the local restaurant Searles on Fifth (formerly D.B. Searles)and the newly renovated and rockin’ Pioneer Place on Fifth Theater. Plus, if you haven’t visited 5th Ave. at night, it might be time to check it out. Festive lighting crisscrosses the street, bringing a beautiful and lively glow to the constant nightlife booming there. And that’s just one new addition to Greater St. Cloud!
Not only is 5th Ave. full of new excitement, but Greater St. Cloud welcomed several other chart-toppers to the area in 2019. Pantown Brewing Company is a new brewery in town, with a gorgeous, huge taproom just waiting to host your social hour. Blacklight Adventures is an all-in-one gaming experience featuring laser tag, escape rooms, virtual reality and more – a truly unique and fun opportunity for your team. We also welcomed the St. Cloud Blizzard hockey team to the MAC. This Tier II junior ice hockey team provides family friendly and fun hockey action for all kinds of fans. Plus, while you’re here don’t forget to check out the newly renovated event space at the Holiday Inn & Suites!

Speaking of hotels, in 2019, we welcomed two new hotels to the Greater St. Cloud inventory. The Residence Inn by Marriott boasts 99 beautiful extended-stay rooms plus an event room for 40 people, complimentary Wi-Fi for guests, and much more. The Hilton Garden Inn has 100 brand new guest rooms waiting for your next event, plus many more amenities that guests will love. Both of these new hotels are attached to The Park Event Center, which will be open in early 2020. This fantastic new venue features 15,000+ square feet of meeting space with the ability to break it down into 7 different breakouts, as well as a pre-function space of nearly 4,900 square feet. A state-of-the-art kitchen with catering and bar services is also available to provide your next event with an all-around unforgettable experience. This massive hotel and conference center property will also feature a brand new restaurant. Maverick’s Steaks & Cocktails, also set to open in early 2020, will provide an upscale dining experience with a unique menu of steakhouse favorites as well as pasta, sandwiches, and even fresh rolled sushi.

If you’re still hoping for a little more rock and roll, we’ve saved a good one for last. In 2020, Greater St. Cloud will welcome The Ledge Amphitheater to town. Carved into the former Transformer Quarry site at the corner of Parkway Drive and 17th Ave. S. and set to open in May 2020, the area encompasses 25 acres and the theater will seat about 5,000 people per show. The amphitheater will welcome a variety of both national and local events from music to comedy to movies and much more. Now the real question is;
