From cozy indoor escapes to icy outdoor thrills, Greater St. Cloud is serving up events that’ll make this month anything but boring! Mandala Painting Workshop

January 3

Kick off the new year with creativity and purpose with this Mandala Painting Workshop at Bella Vita Salt Caves! Set clear intentions and unlock the power to manifest boldly in 2025. Led by the talented Angela Seutter, this class will guide you through painting a personalized mandala on canvas—a beautiful symbol of your dreams and aspirations. Friday January 3rd from 6:30 – 8p. 

Skiing/Sledding/Snowshoeing Sunday

Every Sunday in January and February

The Riverside Park shelter will be open for public use on Sundays this winter with the fireplace roaring to warm up between your activity sessions! No registration is required. Snowshoes and sleds may be checked out for free use during this time. Supply is limited and first come, first served; you will be asked to provide your name, phone number, and a form of ID as a temporary hold while using the equipment.
 

Andrew Sleighter-Stand Up Comedy

January 10

“Andrew performed on Last Comic Standing, recorded a comedy special for Dry Bar and made his late-night stand-up debut on Conan. He’s also written and performed sketch comedy for Comedy Central and wrote and blogged for the Sports Show with Norm Macdonald on Comedy Central. Most recently Andrew appeared on the Late Late Show with James Corden.” Get your tickets now to see him live at Gnarly Bard Theater on January 10th at 7p.

Folsom Prison Experience

January 16 & 17

Step into the shoes of an inmate at Folsom Prison in 1968 and participate in the electrifying Johnny Cash show at The Paramount Theater. Feel the palpable tension as the watchful Warden and his guards keep a vigilant eye, while Johnny Cash, June Carter, and the Statler Brothers ignite the stage with their timeless music.

Radio Nation Presents: A Tribute to 90’s Country

Step back in time to the golden era of country music as Radio Nation proudly presents “Neon Nights” a Tribute to 90’s Country at The Pioneer Place! With authentic renditions of the biggest hits from the ‘90s country scene, featuring Garth, Shania, Alan, Brooks and Dunn, Faith, Dixie Chicks and many more!

Ask a Geologist

January 18

Curious about the rocks in your collection? The Rock and Art Shop is hosting a free, family-friendly event where expert geologist, Ben Chorn, will be on hand to help identify your mystery rocks and answer all your geology-related questions! Happening January 18th from 12:00-2:00 pm. Bring in up to five rocks at a time for identification so everyone has a chance to participate. Whether you’re a collector, a hobbyist, or just curious, this is the perfect opportunity to learn more about the fascinating world of geology.

Free- Winter Chill

January 18

Bundle up and enjoy free outdoor winter fun for the whole family at Riverside Park from 1p – 4p on January 18! Winter activities include sledding, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, arts and crafts, making s’mores over the fire, prizes, and much more. Refreshments will be provided. Bring your own winter activity equipment from home (snowshoes, skis, sleds, etc.); snowshoes will be also available for use, while supplies last. No registration is required.

St. Cloud Craft Beer Tour 2025

January 18

This event is a craft beer, hard cider, & malt beverage sampling event at River’s Edge Convention Center on January 18 from 1p – 5p. The first hour is for VIP attendees ONLY. VIP receive: access to specialty beers, a souvenir chalice, extensive digital program, custom T-shirt, and a beer tour swag-bag full of other customized beer tour goodies! The remaining 3 hours are open to General Admission attendees who receive a sampling mug. The 2025 SCCBT is going back in time to the Tropical 90s. That’s right, get out your Hawaiian shirts, neon’s and short shorts. This year is going to be Da Bomb! with special addition “The Clams” hitting the stage to play your favorite hits. Event is 21+ ONLY! Must have valid ID!!! No pets or children allowed. No exceptions.

Bold & Bright Winter Festival

January 24 – 26

Bring your friends and family to experience a weekend filled with winter magic, fun activities, and live entertainment throughout Downtown St. Cloud, including the Winter Lights Parade, live music, art crawl, family movie night, ice skating and so much more!

Snowshoeing for Beginners Class (Ages 10+)

January 25

Discover the fundamentals of snowshoeing with expert guidance from Fitzharris Ski, Bike & Outdoor instructors, then set off to explore Riverside Park and fine-tune your technique! After your snowy adventure, warm up with a cozy cup of hot chocolate by the fireplace in the shelter! Pre-registration is required; maximum 20 participants. All youth under age 16 are required to be supervised by a registered guardian(s). Snowshoes will be available for use to participants at no additional cost.
