Greater St. Cloud November Event Roundup

It’s the transition month between fall and winter. It’s the start of the holiday season. It’s grey, full of turkey, and a great month to visit Greater St. Cloud! The only problem is, with all of these great events coming up, you’ll have a hard time choosing when to come! We’ve gone ahead and pulled out some fun ones to help you narrow it down, but you can view the entire event calendar here for all November events!

November 3rd: St. Cloud Film Fest

The 8th Annual St. Cloud Film Fest kicks off on November 3rd and runs through November 10th at the Black Box Theater in Downtown, St. Cloud. From live action to animation, documentary to experimental all film makers will have a place and a voice at this film festival. This is the perfect event to check out if you’re interested in film making, passionate about cinema, or even just curious about what a film festival really is. All showings take place at the Black Box Theater in Downtown, St. Cloud throughout the festival, with exact times to be announced. November 10th: ABBA-solutely Fab ABBA Tribute Band

Gimme Gimme Gimme some tickets to see Abbasolutely Fab at Pioneer Place Theatre on November 10th! Discover your inner Dancing Queen as you jam to all of your favorite ABBA hits. This ABBA tribute band features talent of Minneapolis, St. Paul, and even British musicians, and they’re excited to Take a Chance on St. Cloud! November 15th: Stories with Si Robertson

He drinks his tea from the same cup his mama sent him when he served in the Vietnam War. He loves naps and Jesus. He asked his wife to marry him 75 times before she finally said yes. He’s America’s favorite crazy uncle. And now you have the chance to hear unique stories of life and faith from Si Robertson of A&E’s ‘Duck Dynasty’ as only he can tell them, when he comes right here to St. Cloud! Speaking at the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast and also again at a Stories with Si event, you can get your tickets for this sure-to-be hilarious, insightful, and fun even here!

November 16th: Zonta Christmas House

Nothing says holiday spirit like the perfect decorations, and nothing gives you better holiday decorating inspiration than the Zonta Christmas House! Each year, a local home is chosen as the Christmas house, and several area designers and stores come in to transform it into a holiday wonderland. Guests can then visit the house on November 16th and 17th, where they can wander from room to room in awe of the decorating genius on display at every turn. Proceeds benefit area women’s programs including Anna Marie’s Alliance, Journey Home, and local women scholarships for STEM, MBAs, Public Affairs and nontraditional students. November 17th: Made in MN Expo

As Minnesotans, we take great pride in supporting local companies and MN made products. So the Made in MN Expo is truly an event you won’t want to miss! On November 17th, the River’s Edge Convention Center will be full of vendors from all over the state selling products like home decor, clothing, specialty food, and more! Looking for the perfect Christmas gift that is quintessentially Minnesota? This is the perfect place to find it! Admission is free and the event runs from 10AM to 4pm. You betcha we’ll see ya there, doncha know!

November 22nd: CentraCare Health Wishbone Run

Kickoff your day of turkey and football with healthy intentions at the Wishbone Run! Make this 5k a Thanksgiving morning tradition with family, friends, or even just as a fun way to do your usual morning run. The race begins and ends at the St. Cloud Area Family YMCA and winds through the neighborhoods nearby. A great way to celebrate turkey day, you can sign up in advance here or register day-of if you’re not a fan of commitment. Let’s earn that extra helping of green bean casserole!

November 24th: 2018 Shop Small Crawl

Everybody knows that Black Friday is a great day to get a screamin’ deal on your holiday shopping. But the real fun begins on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, when Small Business Saturday takes center-stage. the Shop Small Crawl in St. Joseph event is the culmination of shopping, art, music, food, and more good cheer than you can shake an evergreen branch at. Crawl from one stop to the next on the designated shuttle and check off every person on your shopping list while supporting local business owners and the community. November 24th: A Christmas Carol

“Bah humbug” only has one place in Central Minnesota, and that’s at the Paramount Center for the Arts as GREAT Theatre presents A Christmas Carol! This holiday classic is back by popular demand, so whether it’s a longstanding tradition with your family or you’re looking to start a new one, you will not want to miss this production. Start of the holiday season with a little past, present and future Christmas fun in Downtown St. Cloud. Shows run Saturday, November 24th – Sunday, December 9th at varying times, and tickets are available here.

November 30th: Great River Chorale – What Sweeter Music

If there’s one thing that’s sure to get you into the holiday spirit, it’s Christmas Carols! As Elf said, “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.” Join the Great River Chorale at St. Mary’s Cathedral on November 30th for sounds of the season, featuring carols from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. There is also has a second showing on December 2nd at Bethlehem Lutheran Church at 4pm. Tickets for this family-friendly musical magic are available here.
