Greater St. Cloud June Event Roundup

Summer is all about festivals, family, friends, and fun! Greater St. Cloud has all of that and more to offer for the month of June. Kick it off with a good ole’ baseball game, then shop small and browse some local art. Catch a concert in the gardens, at Pioneer Place, and Lake George! Sample beer and wine with wild animals, then get your town festival hats on and get ready to party. It’s summertime in Central Minnesota, and it’s all about fun! June 1: St. Cloud ROX Home Opener

Cheer on St. Cloud’s Boys of Summer at Joe Faber Field for the home opener of ROX Baseball! ROX games are great for fans of all ages, whether you’re into taking pictures of the little ones with Chisel or enjoying a cold one with friends on the Sports Deck. June 7: Downtown St. Cloud Art Crawl

The weather is warmer, the sun stays up longer, and there’s so much great local art to check out! The first art crawl of the summer promises amazing works of art by some of the area’s most talented artists, warm welcomes from dozens of downtown St. Cloud shops, and the promise of a great time! June 9 – August 18: Munsinger Clemens Music in the Gardens

Every other Sunday starting June 9th, you can enjoy a one-of-a-kind musical experience at Munsinger Clemens Gardens. Music in the Gardens is a free concert from 3pm-5pm featuring local artists and the best views this side of the Mississippi. Concerts are held near the gazebo in Munsinger Gardens, and root beer floats are always available for purchase for $1. View the whole summer lineup here!

June 10-14 & 17-21: Fabulous Armadillos: One Hit Wonders

St. Cloud’s favorite musical act is back again for two weeks of fun at the Pioneer Place on Fifth. Join in and sing along with all the classic One Hit Wonders as the Fabulous Armadillos rock the stage. Enjoy the lively 5th Ave. lights, many local bars and restaurants, and more for a great night in downtown St. Cloud. For tickets and showtimes, click here

June 12: Summertime by George!

Summertime by George is back and ready to rock every Wednesday evening all summer long at Lake George. Don’t miss the kickoff party on June 12th, featuring music from Walter’s Wheelhouse and the Johnny Holm Band! Come hungry and browse the dozens of shopping and food vendors in Middletown Market. Come thirsty and enjoy a great local beverage in the Eastman Tavern. Bring the kiddos and a change of clothes and cool down at the Lake George splash pad. Whatever you do, make sure you have FUN! June 14: Brew at the Zoo

What could be better than tasting dozens of beer, wine, and spirit samples? Doing so at a ZOO! Brew at the Zoo is your unique opportunity to enjoy some adult beverages, great live music, a silent auction, 50/50 raffle and more, and then take a tour around Hemker Park and Zoo after hours! You know the kid in your heart is going to love checking out the monkeys, zebras, kangaroos, and maybe even feeding the giraffe. Tickets are available online here – so get your now!

June 14-15: Spunktacular Days

There’s just something about a small town festival that feels like summer. Avon Spunktacular Days is June 14th and 15th, featuring a car show on Friday, a 5k and Lady Slipper Nature Ride, open mic in the park, kids activities, a parade, and fireworks on Saturday, and live music both nights! June 17-19: Foley Fun Fiesta Days

Fill your week with some fun at the annual Foley Fun Days celebration. Monday kicks off with a 5K run/walk, a Mariachi band, and limbo. Tuesday features a Heavenly Hot Rod car show, a kiddie parade, family fun night, Mexico Lindo (a Mexican folkloric dance group), a fireman competition, and pinatas! Then Wednesday wraps up the fun with a Mexica Yolotl Aztec Dance performance, and a parade, followed by live music from the Buffalo Alice Band. Learn more and plan your fiesta here

June 22: Rapids River Food Fest

Come hungry and bring the family to the 31st Annual Rapids River Food Fest! Live music from several local bands including The Honey Badgers, a strongman competition, craft and product vendors, activities like face painting and a bounce house, a beer garden and of course, FOOD. June 22-23: St. Augusta Parish Festival

With activities like a quilt auction and a tractor pull, you’ve just got to love a small town parish festival. The St. August Parish Festival is a two day extravaganza featuring a 5k, beer gardens and live music from Diamondback, tons of kids games, staples like bingo and a cake walk, plus of course the quilt auction and kids pedal tractor pull. June 27 – 30: Granite City Days

The City of St. Cloud’s annual summer festival is here, and there is so much to do for fun-lovers of all ages! Thursday features the Lemonade Art Fair and opening ceremony, Friday there is a Beaver Island Canoe Trip and the Liberty Bank Block Party, Saturday is the big GCD Parade, the Band-O-Rama, and the new East Side Street Fair, and Sunday is packed with a Civil Air Patrol breakfast, a 5K fun run, Bring a Kid Fishing Day, Family Fun Day, SING! The official kickoff to Granite City Days, the Lemonade Art Fair is one of the highlights of the summer in St. Cloud! Spread out across the St. Cloud State Campus, over 240 artists sell almost anything you can think of from pottery to homemade soap and baby blankets to metal signs. Plus, several food vendors serve up great grab-and-go eats, and the evening finishes with an outdoor concert and the Mayor’s official kickoff to GCD. Learn more here!

This year, Liberty Bank welcomes Grand Funk Railroad to the stage at Whitney Park for a celebration like no other. The Liberty Bank Block Party is an annual part of Granite City Days, and a can’t-miss event if you like to get down to some funky tunes. Fun fact: the Liberty Savings Bank location on 2nd Street South is home to The Vault, a collection of memorabilia from 30 years of past block parties and their headliner acts! Nothing screams summer like a long community parade, and that’s exactly what you can expect from the Granite City Days Parade! The fun starts at 10am and the parade route travels all around downtown St. Cloud. Make sure you don’t forget bags for your candy, and also get ready to cheer as loud as you can for the many area marching bands taking part in the parade! Learn more here

From 11am to 2pm on Sunday June 30th, kids can experience fishing, outdoor activities, prizes and entertainment – for free! This is a great opportunity for kids (and adults!) to experience fishing for maybe the first time in a safe, secure environment at no cost. All fishing gear and bait will be provided, along with several volunteers to show you a thing or two about reeling in the big one. So bring the whole family out to try your luck on the shores of Lake George, and catch some memories that are keepers! Learn more about this event here.
