Greater St. Cloud July Event Roundup

From celebrating the red, white, and blue to live music nearly every day of the week, July is packed with fun for all ages. Catch a fireworks show in St. Joseph or St. Cloud. Rock out at Jugfest, Buzzfest, Firefest, Barden Park and with Pamela McNeill. Take in an interactive, unique show at the Great Theater Learning Lab. Bring the family to a local small town festival for family and grown up fun. Shop ’til you drop downtown, or shop local artisans at the Art Fair in the Gardens. And then finish the month by letting your inner farm kid out at the Benton County Fair!

July 3 – 4: Joetown Rocks Parish Festival

The Joetown Rocks Parish Festival is the place to start your Independence Day celebrations. July 3rd is the start of all the fun with a concert featuring Collective Unconscious, Phil Thompson, and the Killer Vees followed by Fireworks and a performance by Brat Pack Radio. July 4th is the annual red white and blue parade party down Minnesota Street, followed by bingo, games and food on the parish grounds. July 4: St. Cloud Fireworks

In its 73rd consecutive year, get ready to light up the sky on the Fourth of July! Fun happens at two different locations. Hester Park provides a family friendly environment with plenty of green space for viewing and relaxing. You can also listen to the St. Cloud Municipal Band, sign the Declaration of Independence, use the 321 Jump equipment, and grab some great grub from local vendors. Wilson Park off Riverside Drive also offers great views, and includes a special seating area for members of the United States Military and their families (just bring a chair and your military ID!) July 11 – August 15: Music in Barden Park

July 11th kicks of the start of the Music in Barden Park series for th summer. Located between Fourth and Fifth Avenues in St. Cloud, Barden Park is the oldest park in the City of St. cloud – it was actually a park before St. Cloud was a city! It’s a popular spot for neighborhood and college gatherings, as well as home to the summer concert series featuring the St. Cloud Municipal Band, Meire Grove Band, Annandale Community Band, and more! July 11 – 13: Six Characters in Search of an Author

Touted as “an abstract play based in reality,” This show follows six characters who crash the rehearsal of a play in progress, and proceed to take everye at the rehearsal for the ride of heir lives. This is a unique comedy/drama with many different sides, and a fun experience for all! Six Characters in Search of an Author will be performed at the Helgeson Learning Lab. where every experience can adapt to the needs of the production in an intimate venue that features mobile staging, seating, and state-of-the-art theatrical lighting and sound. July 12 – 13: Jugfest 2019

Jugfest is a donation based festival that celebrates local community, music, and friendship in Cold Spring, MN. The festival includes two days of great food, yard games, good local beer, and live musical performances from some of Central Minnesota’s best artists. Some featured acts includes Johnny Bad Love & The Rest In Pieces, The Morning Kings, Kick-It Contigo, MoeDeLL, and more. Camping is welcome at Jugfest, and is first-come first-serve. July 18: Art Fair in the Gardens

Each summer, Munsinger and Clemens Gardens hosts an art fair featuring artists from all around the state.  Visitors are encouraged to browse and purchase some wonderful pieces of artwork from 45-plus artists.  Also enjoy the music provided in different areas among the flowers along with food and beverages. July 18 – 20: Richmond River Lake Days

This annual festival in Richmond is back for another weekend of fun! Activities take place both Friday and Saturday, and there’s something for everyone! Friday features events like a golf tournament & hole-in-one contest, inflatables for all ages, a car show, beer garden, and live music from the Bridge Brothers Band. Saturday includes a 10K, 5K, and kids 1K, volleyball tournament, arts and crafts sale, kiddie parade and costume contest, plenty of fair food and a live performance from the Dairy Daughters. July 18 – 21: 20th Annual Buzzstock

For nearly twenty years we’ve been rocking out on beautiful Big Watab Lake, and we’re not stopping! Buzzstock features music from White Iron Band, Ferkin-Schlep, China Ryder, Gregg Hall & The Wrecking Ball, Kung Fu Hippies, I-Drops, Timmy Haus and the Buzzstock All-Stars! July 20: Sangria & Sandals

July 22: Pamela McNeill Minne-Tour

Pamela McNeill is not only one of the amazing voices of The Fabulous Armadillos, but a celebrated solo artist and songwriter with deep ties to Nashville. July 25 – 27: Cold Spring Hometown Pride Days

A full weekend of fun kicks of Wednesday July 24 with citywide garage sales, and continues all weekend long with all kinds of fun. Kids will love tons of fun events like minnow races, face painting, a bakery challenge, inflatable obstacle course and more. And grown-ups will have fun too, with bar stool races, a bean bag tournament, belt sander races, a street dance and of course FireFest on Saturday night. July 27: FireFest Country Music Festival

Back for its 11th year, FireFest in Cold Spring, Minnesota benefits the Cold Spring Fire & Rescue Department Relief Association. Don’t miss some of the biggest names in country music, right here in Central Minnesota. Headliners this year include Lanco, Tyler Farr, Rhett Akins, Chase Bryant, and Julia Cole. Camping passes are available for purchase as well, but outside food and beverages are not allowed on the FireFest grounds. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, and you are encouraged to bring a lawn chair! If you love loud country music on a hot summer night, this is the event for you. Learn more

July 30 – August 4: Benton County Fair

107th Annual Benton County Fair is July 30 – August 4, 2019 in Sauk Rapids, MNThe Fair includes animals, games, rides, food, shows, shopping and more fun for the whole family! Don’t miss grandstand shows like the demolition derby and motocross, and beer garden stage performances from the HoneyBadgers, IV Play, 32 Below, and more! Entrance into the fair is free, but you may have to pay for parking. This is great fun for the whole family and a chance to learn more about the local and regional farming community!
