Greater St. Cloud January Event Roundup

The holidays have come and gone, but that doesn’t mean that the fun has! January is yet another month full of  excitement in Greater St. Cloud. Events range from indoor fun like concerts and shows, to embracing the Bold North with skiing, tubing, and even ice racing. January 4th: 2019 Moonlight Ski

Join the Nordic Ski Club of Central Minnesota and the Stearns County Parks Department for an evening of cross country skiing or winter hiking at Quarry Park and Nature Preserve. There will also be a potluck with a friendly chili cook-off contest and of course good times with old and new friends. The events starts at 6pm and you do not need a Stearns County Park vehicle sticker to enter this free event.

January 5th: B Records presents Jacquees

This is your chance to see Cash Money Records recording artist Rodriquez Jacquees Broadnax – Jacquees – live and up close at the River’s Edge Convention Center! Hosted by comedian Adrian Washington, this show will feature hits off of his debut album 4275 as well as his 2016 Billboard Charts resident single B.E.D. This is an all ages show, but anyone under age 15 must be accompanied by a parent. Tickets are available on the Facebook event page here.

January 11th: Lazer Light Tubing

This event kicks of the season for Lazer Light Tubing at Powder Ridge! The tubing hill is set aglow with lazers and neon lights for a nighttime adrenaline rush on the snow! January 11th: The Giver

“An absorbing production that asks both children and adults compelling questions about how we want our world to be.” – The Oregonian. Journey with Jonas as he is chosen to train with The Giver – the keeper of the community’s collective memories. Experience pain, and love and learn so much along the way with The Giver production at the Helgeson Learning Lab in Waite Park. January 13th: St. Cloud Wedding Expo

Celebrate 30 years of wedding planning at the 30th Annual St. Cloud Wedding Expo! Over 90 vendors for everything from cakes to honeymoons gather at the River’s Edge Convention Center to make planning your big day in Central Minnesota a cinch. Plus, don’t miss the wedding dress fashion show and the chance to take home prizes and goodies! Tickets are $8 in advance (available here) or $12 at the door for anyone over 12 years of age.

January 19th: St. Cloud Craft Beer Tour

Craft beer lovers unite! It’s time for the 7th annual Craft Beer Tour at the River’s Edge Convention Center. Enjoy four hours of unlimited 2oz samples of craft beer, hard cider and malt beverages. The first hour is for VIP only, where you will have access to the Brewers Cup brews that are only available at this event! January 21st: Stadium Rock with the Fabulous Armadillos

Central Minnesota’s favorite cover band is back at Pioneer Place to perform one of their own favorite sets: Stadium Rock! This show will feature hit songs from AC/DC, Def Leppard, Styx, Queen, Bon Jovi, and more. So don your leg warmers and rat your hair, it’s time to rock out! January 26th: Kelly Depa Memorial CMIR 2019 Race

Get your adrenaline pumping with an event unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Hold your breath as cars, ATVs, side by sides, and even motorbikes round corners at top speeds on the frozen ice, racing to be the first to the finish line.
