Monday, June 6

  • Medallion Hunt – June 6th – 10th: Clues will be posted daily at 8:20 a.m. on:
    www.wpfamilyfunfest.com on the gov’t channel 181 and at City Hall. Clues will also be announced daily at 8:20 a.m. on 99.9 Lite FM. Prize awarded at Community Park on Friday night at 5:30 p.m.
  • Pickle Ball Open House 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.: Rivers Edge Pickle Ball Courts. Come learn America’s fastest growing sport that’s lots of fun and great exercise! Learn basic game rules and skills. Paddles and balls will be available. Ages 14 and up. Door Prizes provided by Scheels. Must be present to win! More info: contact Renie Ocara (320)253-8756

  • Disc Golf Hawaiian Doubles Event – Registration: 5:00 p.m. Draw for Partners: 5:45 p.m. Tee off: 6:00 p.m. Rivers Edge Disc Golf Course Players are invited to wear their best Hawaiian shirts to stay in the theme of this year’s festival!   • Library Kids Day Program 11:00 – 11:45 a.m., Community Park Pavilion: Zorongo Flamenco presents: “Tra Ti Ti Tran Tran Toro!” The story of a little bull that moves to America from his
    home in Spain. A tale told in puppetry, song & dance! Sponsored by Waite Park Friends of the Library.

    • Kids Project Build 12:30 – 2:30 p.m.

  • FREE Train Tours 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. – STARail Museum 201 3rd St N. Hook up with railroad history! Come tour the historic caboose.
  • Bike Rodeo 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. – Waite Park City Hall. Bike safety check and a FREE helmet while supplies last. Sponsored by WPPD and Revolution Cycle & Ski.
  • Cookie Decorating 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Community Park Pavilion – Cookies, frosting & sprinkles! Kids get to decorate their own cookie! Sponsored and provided by Cold Spring Bakery Connection.
  • Craft Make & Take 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Community Park Pavilion – Sponsored and provided by Crafts Direct.
  • Kiddie Parade Registration: 5:15 p.m. – Kiddie Parade – “The Ocean is Calling!”: 5:45 p.m. Waite Park City Hall to Community Park. Kids dress-up as your favorite Moana character or ocean animal! Sponsored by Quality Appliance.
  • Movie in the Park 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Community Park Pavilion – Come enjoy the outdoor movie viewing of “Moana”! The movie will start shortly after the Kiddie Parade. Sponsored by Audio Video Extremes. Free popcorn provided by Parkwood Cinema. Food sold by Waite Park Boy Scouts.

  • City Wide Garage Sale 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.-Registration forms available at City Hall or online at: www.wpfamilyfunfest.com Completed registration forms are due Wed,
    June 1st by 4:00 p.m. A donation of three nonperishable food items or a $5.00 food shelf donation is requested. One garage sale sign will be provided per registered sale. Sale list and map will be available on the website and at City Hall after 1:00 p.m. Wed, June 8th. More info: contact Margie 229-3683.
  • Plant Sale 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Covered Picnic Area behind City Hall 19 13th Ave N. The Flowers for Waite Park volunteers will be hosting their 4th Annual Plant Sale! Come get a great deal on flowers and perennials!
  • Waite Park Friends of the Library Book Sale – Thurs 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. / Fri 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Al Ringsmuth Library 253 5th Ave N Gently used & donated books, audio books, CDs, DVDs and puzzles for sale. See our website for donation details.
  • Quarry Tours 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. – Martin Marietta Quarries. This will be the best quarry tour ever! A must see! Tickets are $1.00 and will be available beginning May 1st at City Hall Mon-Fri 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. through until noon on June 9th, at which time, tickets will be available at the tour bus pick-up site, which is at a NEW LOCATION: The fenced grassy parking lot south of the new Waite Park Public Works facility. Entrance is off County Rd 137/7th St S FREE Hotdog, Chips, and Water served at the quarry!
  • FREE Train Tours 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. STARail Museum 201 3rd St N

  • 10th Annual “Best of Show” Car Show 4:30 – 9:00 p.m. – Registration 4:30-7:00 p.m. Trophies to the “Best of Show”, “Mayor’s Choice” and “People Choice” and several plaques for “Outstanding in Class”. A random drawing for Car Show participants will be held to award a total of twenty $50.00 Gift Cards provided by: Auto Value, NAPA Auto Parts & Family Fun Fest! Awards presented at 8:30 p.m. $10.00 per car entry fee. Sponsored by Audio Video Extremes. NO skates, bicycles, or scooters in the car show area
