The Minnesota Quilt Show

June 19 - June 21

Come and Celebrate all things QUILTING! Find all the information for this exciting show on the Minnesota Quilters website. 

The quilt show includes quilt exhibits covering a wide variety of styles and techniques, vendors selling everything you need for quilting and other handiwork, plus classes from 1 hour lectures to 6 hour workshops.

Show Hours:  Thursday and Friday, 9 – 5, Saturday, 9 – 4

Tickets can be purchased at the door.  $15, $5 for youth 13 – 18, free for 12 and under.  Tickets for lectures are $15 each or you can purchase a pass for all the lectures. 

Quilts will be on exhibit for your viewing pleasure, and a few will be for sale!

Tuesday Evening – June 17:  Quilt Walk

 

Let’s kick off The Minnesota Quilt Show with some fun!  Bring a colorful quilt and join us as we stroll through downtown.  Meet at 5 pm, just outside of Mc’s Dugout.

Plan for dinner afterwards at nearby locations, MC’s Dugout or Mexican Village Downtown, with your new group of friends or keep venturing on your own! 

 

Wednesday Evening – June 18: Preview Night

Quilt Celebration, Meet the Teachers, Power Shopping and Door Prizes!  7 pm to 9 pm.

  • 7:00 Awards Ceremony announcing winners of the Judged Exhibit and door prize drawing
  • Meet the Teachers:   Our faculty will be available to answer questions and sell their books and patterns (autographs anyone?)
  •  Vendors open for power shopping

$12 ticket available at the door.

Shop the vendors early and snatch up the good stuff!

 

Thursday Evening – June 19: Mingle Hour & Fashion Show

Fashion Show & Mingle

Mingle Hour, 6 pm

Fashion Show Lecture, “Ethnic & Ethnically-Influenced Garments”  7 pm

Quilted coats & lecture by Rachel Clark, modeled by MQ membership.

Mingle and enjoy a variety of desserts with cash bar available an hour prior and for the duration. To be held in the Banquet Room, in the Best Western/Kelly Inn.

Special Event ticket price: $30

 

Learning Opportunities

Add to your experience with lectures. Most lectures are an hour long and will be held in the Opportunities Suite, Alexander-Bell room.  See also Special Event: Fashion Show & Mingle with Rachel Clark. This will be held in the Banquet Hall, with 6pm Social Hour/Dessert Mingle start time, Fashion Show to begin at 7pm. This is a ticketed event with a price of $30.  Descriptions can be found on the Workshop page.

Individual lecture tickets can be purchased at the show at Daily Tickets or Advanced Registration ($10 members, $15 non-members) or consider a Multi-day ($40/60).

Learning Stage

Take a break, have a seat and learn from our vendors and special guests.  These free presentations will each last about 30 minutes.  The schedule will also be posted at the stage located on the show floor and in the Show Guide.
