SCSU Day of Percussion featuring Nate Wood
December 1 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
SCSU Percussion Studies is excited to bring the amazing multi-instrumentalist/music producer/studio engineer Nate Wood to the SCSU Day of Percussion.
In addition to Nate’s experience with studio engineering and music production, he has developed the uncanny ability to play drum set, bass guitar, keyboards, and sing – all at the same time!
The day will begin with participants engaging in a group improvisation based on an animated graphic score that is projected on a large screen. The session will share strategies on improving group improvisation, and will conclude with a professional recording session where participants will receive a copy of the recording.
The event will be held in the very intimate setting of Performing Arts Center Recital Hall, where everyone has an opportunity to feel engaged and interactive. Lunch is provided. The entire event is FREE.
Parking is available in the 4th Avenue South Ramp for a daily rate of $5. The ramp is conveniently located directly across from the PAC. Funding for the SCSU Day of Percussion is provided by the David Swenson Foundation at St. Cloud State University, and is part of the David Swenson Foundation Guest Artist Series.
