Script In Hand: End Days
June 9 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm$5.00
“End Days” takes place after 9/11. The father of the Stein family had been in a stairwell in the World Trade Center when the planes hit and he made it out alive. When the play opens, he no longer goes to work because he’s afraid to leave the house. Meanwhile, his wife, Sylvia, spends her time trying to gain more religious converts, while their daughter has recently joined the Goth movement in protest. Nelson, an upbeat new neighbor who always wears an Elvis jumpsuit, enters their lives and tries to heal the rifts. When Sylvia believes the rapture is coming one night, the whole family plus Nelson are thrown together in close quarters producing sometimes absurdly humorous, sometimes touching results.
