Saint Distaff’s Day for Spinners and Knitters
January 4 @ 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Join us as we celebrate Saint Distaff’s Day for spinners and knitters! Saint Distaff’s Day is a traditional holiday in England dating back centuries. It celebrates the end of the Christmas season when spinning wool and knitting was taken up again. In modern times, guilds in the British Isles and New England states gather to spin and knit, and share leftover Christmas goodies.
Come join a free spinning circle or bring your yarn and needles. Fun, fellowship and fiber in the Distaff Day tradition that goes back several centuries. Free Admission
