Early morning yoga is an opportunity to realign mind, body, & breath. By being aware of the rhythms of the natural world & practicing as the sun comes up, we tap into our own natural rhythms too. We welcome our bodies to a new day, focusing on breath, moving mindfully, & finding and honoring our edge, thereby relieving tension from the joints, spine, digestive system, muscle groups; those places in the body that might need a little extra space breathed into them after a long night’s rest.
An understanding of the basic elements of a yoga practice are suggested for this class. We will practice simple flowing sequences to warm up the body, as well as slower paced movements focusing on alignment, strength, balance, & flexibility; emphasizing engaging transitions to reiterate the importance of enjoying the moment, & the whole journey. Class will end with meditation, time to make clear & set your intention for the day to come.
