Event Series Event Series: Millner Heritage Winery Tours

Millner Heritage Winery Tours

July 7 @ 1:30 pm

Millner Heritage Vineyard & Winery grows nine acres of grapes (about 5,000 vines.) They grow eight different varieties bred by either Elmer Swenson or the University of Minnesota. Frontenac, Frontenac Gris, Marquette, Brianna, Prairie Star, Valiant, Kay Gray and Sabrevois.

The vineyard is really where the wine is made. It has been said so many times, “you cannot make good wine from bad grapes.” This is a simple truth of wine making. So, it is here where the hard work has to be put in all summer long and weather willing, with a good harvest in the fall, the wine maker can make great wine. Good wine starts with good grapes.

The first vines planted were in 2006, and every year up to 2009, they added another block of vines until they achieved our nine acres. Come tour the winery, vineyard and have some samples to follow!

Tour Times
May — December:
Saturday & Sunday: 1:30pm & 3:00pm

We want to take this opportunity to invite you to join us on a vineyard tour. With our vintage tractor, we pull our trolley between the vineyard rows. This gives you an up-close, personal experience with the grapes. Besides a breathtaking view, we explain the process of growing a vineyard. This portion of the tour is approximately 1 hour long.

Winery Tour – $6.00
After the Vineyard tour, enter the Winery and experience the wine-making process. In our winery tour, we present the art of winemaking

Do both tours for $10.00, tax inclusive.
