Lapidary Basics- Stone Cutting and Polishing
June 21 @ 10:00 am

This class offers an introduction to crafting natural stone jewelry, beginning with the creation of polished cabochons.
You will learn how to transform rough rock into a finished cabochon or a face-polished specimen. The course covers key skills such as selecting appropriate rough material, use of trim saws, identifying optimal cabochon patterns in rock slabs, and operating grinding, sanding, and polishing equipment.
Upon completing the class, participants gain access to the Lapidary Studio at The Rock and Art Shop where you can use the equipment for $10 per hour to continue creating future projects.
All materials are included. You are welcome to bring your own rock to work on if you prefer.
Instruction will be provided by lapidary artist Wayne Binsfeld.
Limited space available. Due to the time and preparation involved in offering the class, registration is non-refundable
