Hockey for a Cause

On February 3rd, 2024, There will be a Hockey For a Cause fundraiser supporting Smiles for Jake at our Miller Buick/GMC Arena in Sauk Rapids. That weekend two Junior Hockey Teams will take on each other while raising funds for the Foundation. Hockey game starts at 7:30PM. They will have raffle prizes, silent auction of items and Jerseys.
Smiles for Jake is a 501(c) (3) EIN 36-4953527 nonprofit tax-exempt charitable organization that focus is on child suicide prevention. Smiles for Jake’s long-term goal is to stomp out suicide. They work toward this goal by spreading the message of Smiles for Jake as far and wide as possible, so that even people far beyond our community are touched by their message of hope. In 2018 a young man named Jake took his life which led to the creation of this nonprofit.
There’s no denying that the past couple years have brought some significant challenges to families, businesses, and entire communities. People need hope. Smiles for Jake is built on the promise that everyone should have hope.
