Christmas Tree Farms of Central Minnesota

It’s the quintessential Christmas tradition – bundling up the little ones in layers of toasty winter gear. Loading them all up into the truck/SUV/minivan and blasting the Christmas tunes. Tumbling through the snow in organized chaos as each kid battles to pick a tree more perfect than the other. Dad struggling with the dull handsaw as mom takes the kiddos back to the warming house for hot cocoa and a picture with Santa. Then hauling the 8 foot sappy splendor back home to be decorated with years of memories and beauty. There’s nothing more fun than Christmas tree shopping!

Fortunately, the Greater St. Cloud Area is home to many different options for both pre-cut and cut-your-own trees. Plus, with many including Santa Claus visits, gift shops, baked goodies and more, it’s about so much more than just getting a tree – it’s about making memories to last a lifetime. Find the perfect tree farm below!

Jan’s Christmas Trees

Clear Lake is the place to be for your Christmas tree, and Jan’s Christmas Trees is the spot! Not only can you choose from their wide variety of perfect pines, treat yourself to some goodies in the gift shop, visit the bonfire for s’mores and brats, and wave down Santa Claus as he arrives via HELICOPTER (weather permitting). Check out their website for dates and times of the special events, and get ready to deck the halls with your new tree from Jan’s. The field opens for cutting on November 23rd, 2019.

B&J Evergreen

Also located in Clear Lake, this place has a whole lot more than just Christmas trees! B&J Evergreen has been in business for over 40 years, and they take pride in providing high quality products. Plus, after you’ve plucked the perfect pine, you can visit Santa, go on a hayride, visit the petting zoo, play on the playground, and more. Bring the whole family (and the camera!) and get ready to jingle some bells at B&J Evergreen! Tree cutting and petting zoo begin on November 23rd, 2019 and everything else opens the following weekend! There is also another location in Princeton also offring some activities, opening on November 29th, 2019.

Hinkemeyer Tree Farm

At Hinkemeyer’s in Rice, it’s about more than just a tree, it’s about creating an experience that will kick off your holiday season and kindle the Christmas spirit in your heart. Sleigh rides, s’mores, and hot cocoa await – oh yeah, and trees of course! Dash through the snow to this picturesque country location, and don’t forget your camera! Trees are available starting November 23rd, 2019.

Golden Nursery & Tree Farm

A family tradition since 1958, Golden Nursery & Tree Farm in Rice is known as “THE Tree Farm.” Both cut-your-own and pre-cut trees await you, and you can even shop in warm indoor comfort if you’re not up for the cold. Whether your flavor is fir, spruce or pine, Golden will have you rockin’ around the Christmas tree in no time. Opening for the 2019 season on November 23rd.
