Ice Skating at Lake George
Head out to Lake George to try your hand at ice skating! Lake George has free rental skates and is right in town, so you don’t have to travel far to have some outdoor fun for the whole family! The Lake George ice skating rink also has a warming shelter and restrooms for your convenience and is located near downtown so you can stop and grab a warm lunch on your way home.

Sledding at Riverside Park
Bring your kids and friends out to Riverside Park this winter to relive the childhood fun of spending the afternoon at the sledding hill! The sledding hill is a great place to hang out on a sunny afternoon, not to mention climbing up the hill is a great workout!

Winter Walk at Quarry Park and Nature Preserve
Quarry Park and Nature Preserve is an excellent place to go for a winter walk or try out snowshoeing. The trails at Quarry Park vary in length so you can find a shorter walk that is more suitable for kids, or if everyone is up for it, take one of the longer routes and spend some extra time soaking up the beauty of the Nature Preserve! Quarry Park is located right in St. Cloud, you don’t have to go far to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Greater St. Cloud!

Indoor Fun:
Indoor Playground at Rainbow Play System
Even though the Minnesota winters can be bitterly cold, you don’t have to give up playing at the park. Take your park play time indoors at Rainbow Play! Rainbow Play is just a few minutes from downtown and welcomes kids of all ages to come and play at their epic indoor playground!
Adult supervision is always required for your kids. The cost is $8 per child for a two-hour play session. Open Monday through Friday 10am-4pm.

Cozy Up with a Good Book at the Great River Regional Library
The St. Cloud Library is an amazing place to bring the whole family. I mean it when I say that the Library has something for everyone to enjoy! The children’s section has a small play area, computers, a makerspace (reservations required) and, of course, books! Bring home some movies to watch and great books to read so you can stay warm and entertained over the cold weekends. The library is free for everyone to use and is a welcoming, warm, and inclusive space for all to enjoy. Don’t forget to check the events calendar for children’s activities such as story time, Paws to Read, or group projects in the makerspace.

Family Friendly Competition at South Way Bowl
South Way Bowl is a great place to burn off some energy and have a night of family friendly competition!
